Senior Electrical Engineer - DUTIES -Perform complex calculations
and applies standards correctly without supervision. Take lead when works with peers. Review the work of engineers and designers developing engineering and design documents as needed for the project. Possess critical analytical skills and is adept at utilizing good decision making tool; high level of data analysis skills. Regularly perform reviews of vendor documents to ensure specifications and data sheet requirements are met. Lead mid to large-size project or proposals. Develop and lead others in ways of improving the design and lowering cost. Manage several different assignments simultaneously. Review application of standards for correct interpretations (including NEC). Lead projects in how to interpret and apply codes and standards. Lead team to identify changes in the scope of work during mid to large-sized projects. Produce design changes as needed to stay within budget and schedule. Recognize the importance of customer needs. Perform assigned work efficiently and effectively to maximize person productivity. Lead quality checks of the design and engineering of a mid-to-major-sized project to ensure accuracy. Establish credibility in terms of technical competency and team leading ability. Prioritize time to meet team commitments and individual work requirements. Prepare engineering deliverables consisting of one-lines, schematics, wiring diagrams, equipment data sheets, hazardous area classification drawings, electrical power studies (ETAP), etc. Perform advanced electrical calculations including transformer sizing, switchgear sizing, and cable sizing in compliance with NEC, ANSI, IEC, and IEEE standards. Design, specify, and procure auxiliary electrical systems, including Large Power Transformers, AC Switchgear, and DC Switchgear. Conduct power system studies using ETAP or equivalent Electrical Power System Analysis software, applying engineering principles to ensure system reliability and efficiency.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering,
or related field and 10 years of experience stated herein to involve: (1) performing advanced Electrical calculations such as transformer sizing, switchgear sizing, cable sizing utilizing NEC/ANSI/IEC/IEEE Standards; (2) electrical engineering design, specification and procurement of auxiliary electric systems which includes Large Power Transformers, AC and DC Switchgear.
