Irrigation Technician

Native Eco Systems is a small/medium owner operated business in Steamboat Springs, CO. We are a detail-oriented high-end landscape company that has been in the gardening business for over 25 years.

We are currently hiring an Irrigation Technician. The irrigation team is responsible for the planning, construction, and maintenance of all our irrigation systems. This job is seasonal May-Oct and includes an end of season bonus, perfect for ski instructors, lift operators, resort staff, or anyone else wanting winter freedom. Duties in this position might include but are not limited to the following:

Responsibilities:

• Medium to heavy manual labor
• Construction, troubleshooting/repair, and maintenance of irrigation systems of various sizes (mostly large residential sprinkler systems and pumps)
• Seasonal maintenance like turn-ons and winterization
• Accurate record keeping including parts usage, zone locations and watering times for optimal watering and water conservation

Qualifications

• At least basic irrigation infrastructure knowledge. There will be plenty of time for on-site training as well for the right kind of person
• Ability to speak Spanish is a plus
• Ability to drive with a valid drivers license is a plus
