Part-Time Sales Associate – Wine & Spirits Retail

We have a wide selection of wines from recognizable brands to small producers of natural, organic, and biodynamic wines.

Position Overview

We are seeking a friendly, reliable, and customer-oriented Part-Time Sales Associate to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with an interest in wine and spirits who enjoys engaging with customers and delivering excellent service in a retail environment. This is a great opportunity for someone wanting to learn more about wine, cider, and spirits through working in a congenial work environment with terrific colleagues and customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide a welcoming, helpful in-store experience
• Offer product recommendations based on customer preferences and needs
• Maintain knowledge of wines, spirits, regions, and producers (training provided)
• Operate point-of-sale system and handle transactions accurately
• Stock shelves and maintain store cleanliness
• Assist in receiving shipments, updating inventory and maintaining store room
• Support in-store tastings and events as needed
• Ensure compliance with all local and state alcohol sales laws (including ID verification)

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
• Basic knowledge in wine, spirits, hospitality and food strongly encouraged
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A team player who is trustworthy, reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
• Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and basic retail math to perform accurate transactions
• Availability on weekends, evenings and holidays
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and stand for extended periods
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented

Preferred bot not required

• Basic wine/spirit knowledge or certifications
• Experience working in a wine retail, bar, or restaurant

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly pay: $20-25/hour (based on experience)
