Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electrophysiology (EP) Technician to support cardiac electrophysiology procedures in a fast-paced clinical environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with EP lab equipment, strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy and hemodynamics, and the ability to assist physicians during complex interventional procedures.

Schedule & Work Environment

  • Day shift: Monday – Friday
  • 8-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM)
  • Acute care hospital setting
  • No weekend requirement

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians during electrophysiology procedures, including diagnostic and interventional cases
  • Operate and maintain EP lab equipment and monitoring systems
  • Monitor and record hemodynamic data during procedures
  • Prepare patients and procedure rooms in accordance with sterile protocols
  • Support device implantation procedures (pacemakers, ICDs, ablations, etc.)
  • Ensure proper functioning and troubleshooting of EP equipment
  • Maintain accurate documentation and assist with procedure reporting
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care and safety

Required Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)

  • Completion of an accredited program in Cardiac Electrophysiology, Cardiovascular Technology, or equivalent experience
  • One of the following certifications (required):
    • RCES (Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist)
    • IBHRE Certification
    • RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
  • Strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and hemodynamics
  • Demonstrated experience working with EP lab devices and equipment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in high-volume EP labs
  • Familiarity with advanced cardiac mapping systems and ablation technologies
  • Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
