The City of Wahoo is seeking a dependable, hands‑on individual to join our Public Works team as a Water/Wastewater Operator.

This role plays a vital part in protecting public health and maintaining essential city infrastructure—all while offering long-term growth and certification opportunities.

What You’ll Do

As a Water/Wastewater Operator, you’ll assist with:

• Operation and maintenance of the City’s wastewater collection and treatment systems
• Water production and distribution system support
• Routine inspections, maintenance, and operational tasks
• Emergency response and on‑call duties, as needed
• Safe, compliant operation following state and federal regulations

✅ What We’re Looking For

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license

Certifications (or Ability to Obtain)

• CDL (may be required upon hire)
• State of Nebraska Water Certification
• State of Nebraska Wastewater Operator Certification

Pay & Growth Opportunities
