We are seeking an experienced Data Matching Consultant to provide subject matter expertise and technical guidance on data linkage projects, particularly involving healthcare and administrative datasets. This role will support research teams in designing, analyzing, and interpreting studies related to data matching, with a focus on producing high-quality analytical outputs and scientific publications.
- Provide expert guidance on data matching and linkage methodologies for research studies
- Review and offer detailed feedback on study protocols, analytical plans, and work plans
- Support analyses involving linkage to external datasets such as CMS and state-level healthcare data
- Conduct or guide statistical and analytical work related to data matching projects
- Review and provide feedback on reports, manuscripts, and scientific publications
- Participate in literature reviews and contribute to drafting sections of manuscripts (introduction, methods, results, discussion)
- Assist with interpretation of study findings and ensure methodological rigor
- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure project success
- Serve as a co-author on at least one publication
- Provide written feedback on draft protocols and analytical plans within defined timelines
- Be available for consultation (up to approximately 5 hours per week)
- Offer expertise on:
- Data linkage strategies
- Study design and methodology
- Statistical analysis and reporting
- Support development of table shells, reports, and manuscript content
- Strong expertise in data matching, data linkage, or record linkage methodologies
- Experience working with healthcare datasets (e.g., CMS or similar administrative data)
- Proven experience in statistical analysis and research design
- Experience reviewing and contributing to scientific publications or technical reports
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to provide detailed analytical feedback
- Ability to work independently in a remote consulting capacity
- Background in epidemiology, biostatistics, public health, or related field
- Experience with translational research or registry-based studies
- Familiarity with state or federal healthcare datasets
- Prior experience collaborating with public health departments or research institutions
