Summer Camp Counselor

Who We Are:

At Junior Chefs Kitchen, we empower children with essential cooking skills and healthy eating habits through hands-on classes, camps, and events. Our Summer Camp Counselors play a key role in leading young chefs through engaging, educational, and fun-filled cooking activities!

What You’ll Do:

*Lead campers (ages 4-12) in hands-on cooking lessons, making two + recipes daily.

*Facilitate traditional camp fun like games, crafts, and food-themed activities.

*Assist with kitchen prep, food safety, and cleanup to keep camp running smoothly.

*Ensure a safe and inclusive environment where every child feels supported.

*Work as part of a dynamic team, supporting lead instructors and fellow counselors.

What We’re Looking For:

*Experience working with children (camp, classroom, or childcare setting).

*A passion for food & cooking—no professional chef experience required!

*Ability to lead activities, engage kids, and manage group dynamics.

*Strong communication & teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment.

*Availability from June 8 – September 4, Monday-Friday shifts.

Camp Schedule & Pay:

*$19/hr starting pay, with bonus potential.

*Shifts: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM (most staff), with one rotating late shift (8:30 AM – 5:30 PM). Monday - Friday; at least 3 days required.

*Applicants with a car encouraged to apply (some offsite events possible).

*This is for our Lincoln Park (2448 N. Lincoln Ave) & West Loop (1061 W. Van Buren St) locations.
