Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) is seeking an engineering student to support containerization of existing .Net applications to run on a K8s-based Platform to integrate secure development and operations for military test and training customers to join our C4ISR Systems Division. This effort will require basic understanding of containerization and software engineering fundamentals.
This position is located in Ogden, UT.
This position has the potential of continued employment or transition to student/full-time employment requiring security clearance eligibility.
This internship is for summer 2026.

Key Responsibilities:
Repackages existing applications to run as containers in an existing Kubernetes Environment
Documents work done and produces repeatable templates to enable that work is not repeated
Tests solutions to prove functionality is maintained during migration
Comprehends complex system requirements and architects a solution to provide the needed capability while honoring the constraints of secure/sensitive and no-fail missions
Builds proof-of-value platform demonstrations for stakeholders
Collaborates closely with cloud, security, and developer teams, both internal and external
Continuously learns about new technologies and best practices
Helps establish SDL platform engineering best practices
Reviews the work of peers
Required Qualifications:
Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance
Current student pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, engineering, or a related field
Understanding of complex systems
Ability to fulfill engineering responsibilities on assigned tasks and projects
Ability to clearly present technical concepts
Experience with software development lifecycle (revision control, peer reviews, documentation standards)
Must be able to work effectively both independently and with a team
