Our Client is seeking a DSP/Residential Aide to provide support and instruction to persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities within a group home in the Valley Stream, NY area.
Compensation: $17-$19 per hour
SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
- Promote intellectual, emotional, and social growth.
- Ensure all activities are designed to foster growth to each individual's highest level of accomplishment.
- Ensure all care and services are delivered in a climate of normalization, care and concern.
- Assist Consumers with daily nutrition and their medications.
- Transport Consumers to appointments (as needed)
CLIENT'S REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Valid Driver's License (not required but helpful)
- Ability to complete and pass mandated clearances
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or its equivalent
- Minimum of one (1) year experience working with the DDD population
- Must be comfortable toileting.

Credentials Needed:
- CPR
- First Aid
- SCIP (Strategies for Crisis Intervention and Prevention)
- AMAP (Approved Medication Administration Personnel) not required but helpful.
