Sales & Operations Assistant – Custom Apparel

Location: New York City (In-Person) Company: Flag & Anthem

Position Overview

Flag & Anthem is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Sales & Operations Assistant to support our Custom Apparel business across golf clubs, corporate events, collegiate programs, and sports accounts. This role is critical in ensuring seamless communication and execution between external sales representatives, customers, and internal teams.

This is a hands-on, execution-focused role. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of the embroidery process and be comfortable managing custom product workflows from concept through production.

The role will play a key part in supporting custom embroidery programs, managing orders, coordinating samples, and ensuring timely delivery of products. This position requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Rep Support

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for external sales reps, providing day-to-day support and communication
  • Assist with order entry, updates, and follow-ups to ensure smooth execution of all custom programs
  • Support sales teams with quick turnaround requests and ongoing account needs

Custom Embroidery Program Management

  • Coordinate all aspects of custom embroidery orders for golf clubs, corporate events, and collegiate accounts
  • Work closely with embroidery vendors and internal teams to ensure accuracy and quality of all customizations
  • Track artwork approvals, logo placements, and production timelines

Project Coordination & Order Management

  • Manage order flow from initial request through production and delivery
  • Ensure all order details, changes, and timelines are accurately tracked and communicated
  • Maintain organized records across systems for easy access and reporting

Sample & Product Coordination

  • Assist in the coordination and tracking of samples for sales meetings, presentations, and customer approvals
  • Manage and track key golf ambassador samples to ensure product is delivered, worn, and presented on the PGA Tour
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to support timely outfitting of ambassadors and athletes
  • Ensure samples are prepared and delivered on time for key selling periods, events, and on-course visibility

Internal Team Collaboration

  • Partner with production, merchandising, and operations teams to align on timelines and execution
  • Act as a liaison between internal teams and external partners to resolve issues efficiently

Scheduling & Organization

  • Help manage sales calendars, key deadlines, and project timelines
  • Ensure all milestones are met and proactively communicate any delays or issues

Customer & Communication Support

  • Maintain strong, professional relationships with customers, sales reps, and internal stakeholders
  • Provide proactive updates and solutions-oriented communication

Required Education & Experience

  • 1–3 years of experience in a sales support, operations, or product-related role (apparel experience preferred)
  • Preferred knowledge of embroidery processes, including digitizing, stitch types, and production timelines
  • Experience working with custom products or made-to-order programs is a strong plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general data management
  • Familiarity with ATS, NuOrder, or similar systems is a plus
  • Ability to work on-site in the New York City office daily
