Job Description

We are seeking a sharp, hands-on financial professional for an interim engagement to support our North American accounting operations. As a key player in a global organization that manages mission-critical high-tech infrastructure, you will ensure our financial engine runs as smoothly as our technology. This is a high-visibility role reporting to the Director of Finance, perfect for someone who thrives in complex, multi-entity environments.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the Close: Own the month-end and year-end close process for our US entities, ensuring accuracy and GAAP compliance.

  • Global Coordination: Manage intercompany reconciliations and coordinate with international parent-company finance teams.

  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement efficiencies in payroll, AP/AR, and fixed asset reporting.

  • Audit Readiness: Act as a primary point of contact for external audits, ensuring all documentation is "space-grade" and precise.

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare variance analyses and financial summaries for executive leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and record financial transactions related to assets, liabilities, revenue, and expenses.
  • Reconcile accounts, maintain general ledgers, generate trial balances and workpapers.
  • Create financial statements and support external audits with timely and accurate documentation.
  • Manage incurred cost proposals and oversee compliance with government reporting requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with companies Delegation of Authorities and legal standards.
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold internal control policies.
  • Assist in special accounting projects as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in general accounting and corporate finance.
  • Extensive nowledge of IFRS and US GAAP, including IFRS 15 and 16.
  • Proven experience with full-cycle accounting: operational planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Skilled in month-end close processes across multiple subsidiaries.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (advanced level). Deltek GCS and Microsoft Dyamics a plus.
  • Capable of handling multiple priorities independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • CPA a plus.
  • Background in government contracts a plus.
  • Experience using business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar) to create financial dashboards, reports, and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Familiarity with ADP Payroll systems a plus.
