Responsibilities
- Part Inspection: Visually and physically checking parts for defects, inconsistencies, or contamination.
- Tool Usage: Utilizing basic tools such as calipers, scales, magnifying glasses, and sometimes hand tools like rubber mallets or drill presses for sample preparation.
- Documentation: Recording inspection results, filing scrap tickets for rejected parts, and maintaining lot traceability.
- Communication: Reporting quality issues to the Quality Manager or production engineers to address the root cause of defects.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience: Some roles are "no experience necessary" (entry-level), while more senior technician roles may require 1–3 years of manufacturing or quality experience.
- Skills: * strong attention to detail (identifying small visual defects).
- Basic math and computer skills (MS Office).
- Ability to read and interpret part drawings/blueprints.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25–35 lbs, and perform repetitive reaching or bending
