OPERATOR / CREW LEAD

About This Role

We're looking for someone who wants to build a career, not just work a job. At DC Underground,

you'll operate equipment, lead crews, solve problems, and represent our company to

customers.

The work: Run excavators and skid loaders, manage job sites, communicate with customers,

make sure work gets done right. You'll do whatever the job needs - operating equipment,

physical labor, or both.

Process

Training (on the job):

● 30 days: Work with crew, learn our systems

● 60 days: Ground tasks and equipment operation independently

● 90 days: Know project workflows, problem-solve independently

The Work

Schedule:

● Summer: 7 AM - 4 PM, up to 60 hrs/week

● Winter: 28-32 hrs/week

● Weekends/evenings only for snow removal

● Rare overnight travel

Pay:

● $20-30/hr based on performance

● Overtime after 40 hours

● Monthly and yearly bonuses

● Pay period: Sunday-Saturday

Typical day:

Morning starts at the shop - get your work order, gather materials and equipment. Head to the

job site and execute the work. End of day you walk through with the customer, collect payment if

needed, return to shop to clean and prep equipment for tomorrow.

Licenses: Septic Installation License for crew leads; CDL preferred
