The State of Connecticut, Connecticut Technical Education and Career System (CTECS) is currently recruiting for two (2) full-time 2nd Shift Custodian positions at Bullard-Havens Technical High School in Bridgeport, CT.
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
- LOCATION: Bullard-Havens Technical High School in Bridgeport, CT
- SHIFT: Full-time | 2nd Shift | 37.5 Hours per week
- SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday | 2:30 pm – 10:30 pm
- NOTE: While CTECS follows a ten-month academic calendar, this position is year-round!

YOUR ROLE
In your role as a Custodian, you will have the opportunity to:
- Perform custodial tasks and maintenance of areas such as classrooms, offices, auditoriums, wards, kitchens, dining rooms and lavatories including outdoor areas (i.e. trash around buildings);
- Dust, mop, sweep, scrub, strip, wax and polish floors, shampoo carpets using appropriate equipment such as floor polishers and buffers;
- Wash, dust and polish glass including windows, woodwork, walls, furniture and metal equipment;
- Collect and dispose of all trash and recycling in the appropriate containers;
- Report needs for repairs;
- Perform minor maintenance;
- Inspect building for damage and report conditions to supervisor;
- Perform related duties as required.
