Position: Direct Support Professional (Full-Time, Part-Time)
Organization: Madison County Council for the Developmentally Disabled
Pay: $16.00 – $19.00 per hour
Work Location: In person

Position Overview:
The Direct Support Professional is a high-energy role focused on supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This position promotes independence while assisting individuals with daily living skills, health needs, and community participation.

Schedule:
Evenings, overnights, and rotating weekends (day or night shifts available).

Key Responsibilities:

• Follow each individual’s support plan, supervision level, and health guidelines
• Assist with daily living skills, hygiene, meals, and home upkeep
• Support medical needs including medication administration and health monitoring
• Provide transportation assistance for appointments, shopping, and activities
• Maintain awareness of individuals’ safety and location at all times
• Encourage independence and respectful engagement

Minimum Requirements:

• Age 18 or older
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Pass background check
• Ability to complete Medication Administration, CPR, and First Aid training
