Te Kamo Intermediate School – Whangārei Te Kamo Intermediate is looking for a well-organised, enthusiastic, and proactive individual to lead our school library and resource room. The Role This is a permanent, part-time position working during school term times only (40 weeks per year). You will be responsible for running our library efficiently, managing school resources, and fostering a love for reading among our students. Hours: 8:30 am – 2:00 pm (Monday to Friday) - 25 hours per week Schedule: Term time only Key Responsibilities * Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the school library and resource room. * Curating and maintaining a high-quality collection that engages intermediate-aged students. * Assisting staff and students with research, resource location, and digital literacy. * Managing administrative tasks and organising library events or displays. Skills & Experience We are looking for a self-driven professional who can work independently while remaining a vital part of our school team. * Experience: Ideally experienced in a library setting (school library experience is a significant advantage). * Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Access-IT is highly preferred. * Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage naturally with both students and staff. * Organisational Mastery: A high level of initiative and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
