Required Education/Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and a minimum of two (2) years of experience in an engineering or construction department, including at least one (1) year of engineering work experience. Minimum two (2) years of utility experience or privatesector highvoltage transmission experience, including at least one year of engineering work experience.
Preferred Education/Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, or Master's degree in Engineering and three (3) years of experience working on transmission projects, including three (3) to five (5) years of utility or privatesector highvoltage transmission experience, with at least one year of engineering work experience.
Relevant Work Experience
Familiarity with basic Engineering principles, Drawing Management Systems, and calculation software, required.
Familiarity with AutoCAD or other drawing software, required.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, required.
Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to perform at a high level in a professional business setting, required.
Experience and/or knowledge of high voltage transmission or distribution systems, required.
Exercises sound judgment, initiative, creativity, and decisionmaking in handling assignments, required.
Technically proficient across a broad range of engineering responsibilities, with a demonstrated willingness to explore and implement innovative solutions, required.
Knowledge of PLCCAD for design and calculations, preferred.
Knowledge of specialized cable/wire pull software, preferred.

Ability to interpret basic information on drawings.

Licenses and Certifications
Driver's License Required
Professional Engineer (PE) Preferred
Physical Demands
Ability to respond to system emergencies
Able to work in all weather conditions, i.e. excessive heat and/or cold
Ability to climb ladders and stairs
Stand, walk, and climb ladders and stairs for the duration of the workday
Ability to travel to company locations to work on storm restoration and heat contingencies
Wear necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), i.e. fire-retardant clothing and safety harnesses
Additional Physical Demands
The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
