The State of New Hampshire, Judicial Branch, Supreme Court, has a part-time vacancy for Facilities Assistant. This position is assigned to a 9-step pay scale. Hiring typically occurs within steps 1-5, depending on education and experience.
Summary :
This is a part-time support position in the Administrative Office of the Courts. Performing a variety of support functions including cleaning, landscaping, snow removal, and other facilities maintenance duties. Employees in this position must be able to organize and prioritize tasks independently. Employees in this position are required to travel during the regular course of business and are subject to transfer or reassignment at the discretion of the Director of the Administrative Office of the Courts.
Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Graduation from high school or G.E.D. equivalent to two years’ related work experience and a valid driver’s license are required. Incumbents must successfully complete a New Hampshire Safe Drivers Course within the first month of employment or as soon as a course is available.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Must have a valid driver’s license and safe driving history.
Must successfully pass a criminal record check and motor vehicle record check prior to commencing work and regular record checks thereafter as requested.
Responsibilities :
Regularly provides cleaning services in the Supreme Court and Concord Probate Court.
Performs grounds maintenance duties, including planting and maintaining lawns, gardens, and walks; snow removal; mowing, watering, raking; and tree trimming.
Operates mowing equipment and other power equipment and occasionally drives small trucks to carry out grounds maintenance activities.
Sharpens tools, makes minor repairs on equipment, and transports trash.
Maintains archived records for various courts.
Travels to statewide court and vendor locations to transport equipment, furniture, supplies, and court documents, including surplus items, to designated locations for storage or disposal.
Installs computers, workstations and other equipment, as needed.
Delivers and retrieves mail to Post Office as needed.
Performs other related work as required.
