Kennel Technician / Dog Training Assistant

The Dog Wizard Highlands Ranch is looking for a motivated, hardworking, and dog-loving individual to join our team as a Kennel Technician / Training Assistant. This role is perfect for someone who wants hands-on experience in the dog training industry and is eager to learn about behavior, structure, and balanced training techniques.

You’ll play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe training environment while also assisting our trainers in working dogs through their programs.

Responsibilities

• Handle dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments, including those with mild to moderate behavioral challenges
• Assist in training sessions by reinforcing skills after trainers introduce them
• Help with repetitions and structured work to build consistency in each dog’s training
• Clean up after dogs (including waste, accidents, and occasional vomit)
• Maintain a clean and organized facility, including:
• Kennels and crates
• Training areas
• Equipment and tools
• Follow direction from trainers and contribute to a structured training environment

Bonus Qualifications (Not Required)

• Prior experience working with dogs (kennel, daycare, shelter, or training)
• Experience with social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok is a strong plus
• Interest or experience in creating content (photos, videos, reels, etc.)
• Desire to grow within the dog training industry

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
