Masters Surveying in Central Queensland are currently looking for a Senior Surveyor to join them who can work independently in engineering, civil & construction surveying at a variety of sites. We are proposing Back-to-Back FIFO/DIDO roster options on a 2: 1 or 2:2 basis to work on various project sites throughout Central, Western and North Queensland. If you like autonomy and variety than this role is for you. You will be primarily responsible for conducting field survey tasks, as well as undertaking the related office calculations and drafting, ensuring project deliverables, timeframes and budgets are met for a variety of clients at a variety of sites. You will be responsible for (but will not be limited to): • Day to day surveying and communication with clients, ensuring their requirements are met • Establishing and maintaining accurate Survey Control • Undertaking calculations, field pick up and data reduction • Maintenance and servicing of survey equipment and vehicles • Assisting with preparation of quotations as required • Communicating to clients and your team • Perform field survey tasks under instruction from a Survey Manager • Construction setout calculations within 12d • Processing of raw field data and production of final deliverables • Interpret plans and data Your Skills and Experience will include: • Full Australian Working Rights (no non-residents) • At least 5 years’ surveying experience including solid construction experience • Intermediate to advanced operating knowledge of 12d. • AutoCAD experience drafting plans well regarded. • Completed degree or advanced diploma of Surveying • Registration with SBQ (or ability to gain registration) • Experience in construction and engineering surveying • Experience with Leica gear and any software provide drawing, x section, volumes, etc. to clients • Excellent communication skills, particularly with site personnel, Project Managers and team mates • Highly proficient field and office work Your benefits include: • Competitive remuneration and generous allowances • Positive work culture – the chance to work collaboratively within a great team of professionals. • 2:1 or 2:2 roster - Great work life balance and lifestyle • Daily meal allowance • You’ll be trusted to do your job – given autonomy and responsibility to make decisions but you will have support from our Survey Managers. • Be part of a supportive and collaborative close-knit team of professionals not only in Central Queensland but along the East Coast. • 1:1 coaching so you meet your career progression goals with the support of your Manager. • Well-developed streamlined cloud-based systems and processes. • Feel safe in a highly compliant work environment where the safety of our people is our number one priority.
