Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a compassionate and dependable Mental Therapy Aide / Mental Health Technician to support patients in a behavioral health setting. The role involves providing direct and indirect patient care while helping maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment. The ideal candidate will collaborate with clinical teams to promote positive patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under nursing supervision
• Monitor, measure, and document vital signs and patient observations
• Assist with admissions, documentation, and basic assessments
• Record patient intake and output accurately
• Collect and handle patient specimens as required
• Transport patients safely within the facility
• Orient patients to unit routines and policies
• Assist with activities of daily living, including hygiene support
• Build therapeutic relationships with patients
• Support participation in recreational and therapeutic activities
• Respond to behavioral health crises and escalate when needed
• Maintain safety through routine checks and compliance with protocols
• Communicate patient updates to the care team effectively

Required Qualifications

• Recent experience in psychiatric or behavioral health settings preferred (within the last 2 years)
• Strong communication (verbal and written) skills
• Basic understanding of medical terminology
• Strong organizational and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Must meet standard pre-employment health screening requirements
