Summary

Primarily responsible for providing coaching instruction at a Summer Music Institute camp, and is a representative of the philosophies and goals of the Summer Music Institute and the College of Musical Arts.

Essential Functions

  • Attend training meeting prior to check in the first day of camp.
  • Coach and instruct ensembles as assigned.
  • Assist DPE, PD, Program Directors, Support Staff and peers as needed.
  • Execute all emergency procedures with the safety of campers as the first concern.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be a Graduate College of Musical Arts student.
  • Must be an experienced musician, specializing in the camps instrument family.
  • Must possess good judgement; excellent communication skills and be enthusiastic.

Additional Information

  • Must be available June 14-July 3 for camp events
