"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking highly experienced and dedicated Registered Nurses (RNs) for a Travel Assignment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) located in Utica, New York, United States. This role is designed for advanced critical care nurses who are confident managing complex, high-acuity patients and advanced life-support technologies in a fast-paced ICU environment.

Position Overview

• Role: Registered Nurse – Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
• Location: Utica, New York, United States
• Shift: Night Shift (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week (36 hours/week)
• Contract Type: Travel Assignment
• Floating: Required
• Block Scheduling: Not guaranteed
• Guaranteed Hours: Weekly
• Openings: 2 positions available

Unit Overview

• Specialty Unit: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
• Department: MVHS – Wynn ICU (Unit 2000121)
• Total Beds: 42 beds
  • Neuro/Medical ICU: 22 beds
  • CTICU: 6 beds
  • Surgical/Trauma ICU: 14 beds

Patient Population & Diagnoses

• Neuro/Medical ICU: Stroke, Sepsis, AMS, Neuro Interventions (TCAR), Respiratory Failure, CHF, Post-STEMI care
• CTICU: Cardiothoracic surgery, cardiogenic shock, AAA surgical cases
• Surgical/Trauma ICU: Trauma patients and major post-operative surgical cases

Specialty Equipment

• CRRT (Prismaflex or NxStage) – required experience
• Intra-aortic Balloon Pump (IABP)
• Ventriculostomy and ICP monitoring
• Targeted Temperature Management (Arctic Sun)
• Mechanical ventilation support

Requirements – Submission Checklist

• Will accept local candidates (within 75 miles – local rates apply)
• Minimum 2+ years ICU experience required (ICU/SICU/CTICU/Trauma ICU/MS ICU/Neuro ICU accepted)
• Travel experience is required
• Must provide 2 recent ICU Charge/Manager RN references
• Strong cardiac ICU experience highly preferred
• Active New York RN License required (and all active RN licenses verified via NURSYS)
• Required Certifications:
  • AHA BLS
  • AHA ACLS
  • NIHSS
• Must provide:
  • Updated resume with ICU and travel experience
  • Skills checklist matching ICU specialty
  • Driver’s license with matching demographics
  • NURSYS verification report
  • RTO (Requested Time Off) submitted at time of application
• EPIC EMR experience required
