Position overview:
As an Assistant Site Manager, you’ll ensure the customer has the parts they need when they need them. You’ll work with the Site Manager to build a great team by hiring outstanding team members and providing training, guidance, and motivation. Ready to roll up your sleeves? Great, because you will be hands-on, collaborating with your team to get the job done. This role requires onsite attendance at 1401 Sheridan Rd, North Chicago, IL 60064, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Only candidates local to the area will be considered.
A typical day in the life of an Assistant Site Manager:
Lead and supervise our storeroom inventory related to parts and materials.
Collaborate with the Site Manager in leading the client site for SDI, ensuring we are delivering based on our contract requirements.
Ensure SDI has an accurate analysis of current inventory, making corrections as needed.
Assist your team members in completing accurate cycle counts to ensure we have proper inventory in the storeroom.
Deliver site profitability based on predetermined goals and provide weekly forecasts of your progress.
Track production planning on our customer site.
Run match exception reports, analyze the root cause of any issues, and create action plans for improvement.
Collaborate with the Site Manager in P&L Management (Profit and Loss).
The skills you’ll contribute to our diverse team:
Bachelor’s degree, or experience working in warehouse leadership roles.
Exposure to a customer service focused environment where you communicated with the client directly.
Experience leading a team of hourly workers to success in a warehouse environment.
Keeping track of inventory in a warehouse environment.
Continuous improvement-based projects.
Ability to work in an industrial environment where you’re exposed to heat, noise, and dirt.

The pay range for this role is $60,000 - $65,000 annually. Individual pay depends on various factors, such as role level, relevant experience and skills, and location. Pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the pay range applicable at the time.
