Project Architect

Driven by a dedication to excellence in both design and client relations, CosciaMoos is seeking a Project Architect to lead a variety of projects from design through close-out. The ideal candidate has a good design sense, a solid technical knowledge base, effective project organization skills and an intelligent client management approach.
Responsibilities:
- Direct each phase of project from pre-design through construction administration
- Provide functional layout/design consultation, working directly with the design principal
- Research and document zoning restrictions and opportunities
- Provide technical guidance to staff on project execution
- Solicit and evaluate proposals from consultants
- Oversee preparation of deliverables; monitor work of consultants to seamlessly deliver drawings and specifications for permit and construction
- Prepare project manual and specifications
- Oversee technical staff during construction administration; attend construction phase meetings when required; evaluate change orders, RFIs, submittals and payment certificates
- Act as client liaison for design, goals, budget, modifications
- Build and maintain client relationships
- Assist with proposal preparation for architectural design services
- Act as primary point of contact with client during project execution
- Manage client expectations and communications regarding project fees
- Create and maintain project schedule
- Devise work plan, allocating hours and monitoring progress
- Manage contracts with consultants
- Articulate design concepts or solutions to clients
- Negotiate critical issues with representatives from other organizations
- Lead project meetings and prepare meeting minutes
- Provide mentoring for junior staff to grow the institutional capacity of the firm
- Participate in Quality Assurance process on projects across the office
Essential Requirements:
- Professional Degree in Architecture (B. Arch or M. Arch)
- 5-7 years of architectural design and project experience
- Registered Architect or demonstrated path towards licensure
- Experience with a wide scope of projects (mixed-use, multi-family, healthcare)
- Strong writing and organizational skills; solid knowledge base of technical architectural systems
- Working proficiency in Revit
Compensation:
- Compensation commensurate with experience, competitive with midsize firms

Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
