Programs & Events Manager

Seven Hills Farmstead Seven Hills Farmstead is hiring a Programs & Events Manager to support our new Boston culinary studio, events and classes, and our agricultural initiatives. The ideal candidate is a self-directed, highly motivated professional with an interest in the following areas: event planning, communications and culinary arts. This role blends event coordination, communications, and program development, and is ideal for someone who enjoys working across multiple projects within the framework of local food and hospitality.

Key Responsibilities Event Planning & Program Coordination (≈45%)

- Draft and manage event calendar for cooking school

- Post classes on booking software utilizing branded marketing assets

- Customer service related to events

- Manage event sales, promos and ticket marketing

- Recruit and coordinate guest speakers, chefs and local vendors

- Manage private events: corporate team building exercises and at-home chef events

Communications & Marketing (≈30%)

● Create and manage marketing content for Seven Hills Farmstead’s programs, events, and partner promotions, working closely with leadership and external collaborators

● Manage client communications and customer relations with customers (follow-up emails, thank you’s) Assist & support our social media channels related to food programs and promoting events

● Build and maintain strong relationships with partner organizations, food businesses, and farmers

● Support outreach efforts to increase engagement with Seven Hills Farmstead

Organizational & Team Support (≈25%)

● Work closely with Owners and General Manager, Marketing Manager, PR firm with calendar planning and strategic event programming

● Provide support across Seven Hills Farmstead’s hospitality initiatives and events as needed

● Suggest creative ideas for events to be held in the space

Minimum Qualifications

● Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience

● 3–5 years of experience in multiple areas: communications, marketing, event coordination, graphic design, food service, food sales, food systems work

● Strong written and verbal communication skills

● Proven ability to build relationships, engage partners, and communicate professionally with diverse audiences

● Comfortable with presentations, facilitation, and public-facing roles

● Collaborative, positive, and adaptable team member

● Highly organized self-starter who can manage multiple projects and deadlines independently

Technical Skills

● Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

● Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive)

● Occasional evening and weekend availability is required around events Preferred

Experience

● Experience with tools such as (or similar to): ○ Canva ○ Flodesk ○ Eventbrite ○ Shopify

● Familiarity with local or regional food systems, including farming, food businesses, culinary operations, food events, or food policy in Massachusetts and New England

Position Details & Compensation

● Full-time (40 hours/week), non-exempt hourly position

● Pay range: $22–$25/hour, based on experience

● Based on experience, a hybrid work schedule can be considered Benefits include:

● $450/month health insurance allowance

● $2,000/annual pension plan allowance

● 14 days combined paid vacation/sick time

● 7 paid holidays
