Elementary Art Teacher

Position: Elementary Art Teacher

Location: Hollywood Elementary School

Lakeshore Public Schools

Stevensville, MI 49127

This position is a one-year appointment at this time, with no guarantee of renewal beyond the initial term.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement art lessons tailored to elementary school students.
• Foster creativity through various mediums such as painting, drawing, sculpture, and digital art.
• Encourage students to explore artistic expression while developing technical skills.
• Organize and display student artwork within the school and at events.
• Maintain a safe and organized classroom conducive to artistic exploration.
• Collaborate with other teachers to integrate art into the broader curriculum.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or a related field.
• Teaching certification/licensure as required by Michigan
• Prior teaching experience (preferred).
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Enthusiasm for art and the ability to inspire young learners.
