Job Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled Histotechnologist to perform tissue processing, embedding, sectioning, and staining for diagnostic evaluation. The candidate will support pathologists by preparing high-quality specimens and maintaining lab standards.

Key Details

• Shift: Day Shift (Start time: 5:30 AM or 6:00 AM)
• Schedule: 5x8 Hours (40 hrs/week)
• Department: Clinical Laboratory

Responsibilities

• Process, embed, cut, and stain tissue specimens
• Prepare and stain cytopathology samples
• Maintain accurate documentation and specimen tracking
• Ensure proper handling and management of patient tissue
• Perform specialized histology techniques for diagnosis
• Maintain lab equipment and supplies
• Participate in quality assurance programs

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in:
  • Medical Technology / Biology / Chemistry
    OR HTL Certification (recognized agency)
• NY State Histotechnician License (AAS) – REQUIRED
• Strong experience in histology lab procedures

Work Environment

• Hospital-based clinical lab
• Focus on surgical and autopsy tissue analysis
• Fast-paced diagnostic setting
