Assistant Toddler Teacher

Huntingdon Children’s School is a nature- and multi-sensory-based learning environment serving children ages 6 weeks to 5 years. Our programs focus on hands-on learning, STEAM exploration, music and movement, practical life skills, and outdoor play. Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to join our team. This full-time role provides hands-on experience in early childhood education and classroom support. Assistant Teachers work closely with lead teachers to implement curriculum, engage with children, and maintain a safe and stimulating learning environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist lead teachers with daily classroom activities and routines
• Support children in learning through play, STEAM activities, and outdoor exploration
• Help prepare materials and maintain a safe, organized, and stimulating classroom environment
• Observe and support children’s participation and progress
• Collaborate with teaching staff and participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities

Qualifications:

• Passion for working with young children and fostering their growth and development
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow instructions, work collaboratively, and take initiative
• Reliable, punctual, and professional
• No college degree or prior experience required (ideal for college students or those seeking hands-on childcare experience)
