Computer Network Technician

About Us:
Red Leaf IT Asset Recovery and Recycling is a locally owned business dedicated to sustainable technology practices. We help organizations responsibly recycle, recover, and repurpose IT and networking equipment. As part of our growing resale division, we are seeking an experienced IT professional to join our team.

Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Computer & Network Technician to take the lead in testing, evaluating, and refurbishing incoming IT and networking equipment for resale. This role requires hands-on knowledge of IT hardware, networking gear, and internal system components.

This is an in-person position at our Maryland Heights facility.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate incoming IT, mobile, and networking equipment to determine functionality, condition, and/or repair needs
• Test and troubleshoot hardware and internal components (servers, switches, desktops, laptops, etc.)
• Perform logical data sanitation to industry standards
• Refurbish, repair, and prepare equipment for resale, including OS imaging and patching
• Maintain accurate inventory records and document equipment evaluations
• Collaborate with the recycling team to ensure compliance with proper handling and disposal standards
• Stay current with technology trends and equipment values in the secondary IT market

Requirements:

• Proven experience with IT hardware and networking gear (servers, switches, laptops, desktops, routers, etc.)
• Strong understanding of internal system components and troubleshooting techniques
• Ability to test/assess hardware conditions and refurbish equipment to working condition
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently in a hands-on environment
• Must be able to lift and move IT equipment as needed
