Tri-Township Schools is seeking a creative, student-centered Art Teacher to support visual arts instruction across multiple grade levels. This position provides a unique opportunity to work with elementary, junior high, and high school students while building a cohesive K–12 art experience.
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Teaching one period of elementary art classes
- Teaching junior high and high school art courses for the remainder of the day
- Deliver engaging, standards-aligned visual arts instruction across grade levels
- Develop lessons that promote creativity, artistic expression, and skill development in a variety of media
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of elementary, junior high, and high school learners
- Foster a positive and structured classroom environment that encourages creativity and respect
- Organize and maintain art materials, supplies, and classroom space
- Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date grades in alignment with school expectations
- Collaborate with staff to support cross-curricular opportunities and school-wide initiatives
- Support and showcase student work through displays, events, or exhibitions
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and administration
- Valid Indiana teaching license in Art (or ability to obtain)
- Strong background in visual arts and art instruction across multiple grade levels
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Commitment to continuous improvement and professional growth
- Experience teaching across K–12 grade levels
- Knowledge of a variety of artistic mediums and techniques
- Experience integrating technology into art instruction
- Willingness to contribute to extracurricular or community art opportunities
