Operations Manager for E-commerce / Amazon Business

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on eCommerce manager to run and improve day-to-day operations of an e-commerce business that buys and sells name-brand products at scale.

You will work directly with the CEO on core parts of the business.

This role is for someone who can both take ownership of day to day task-oriented operations and put clear processes in place so key work runs smoothly and consistently

* What You’ll Be Responsible For

These are the key operational areas that require attention. You will quickly take on more of them over time based on your strengths:

- Multi-channel listing management (Amazon, Walmart, etc.)

- Amazon case management, issue resolution, and account health

- Build and run Whatnot, eBay, and similar channels — identifying and executing new opportunities to sell product

- Purchasing: Work with the CEO and buying assistants to identify and secure profitable inventory.

- Vendor follow-ups and communication

- Coordination with 3PLs, inventory reconciliation, and problem-solving

- Processing returns and relisting inventory on the right channels

- Basic bookkeeping, tracking, and operational reporting

If you already have strength in some of these areas, you’ll be expected to take ownership quickly.

* What You’ll Also Do (Especially Early On)

You should be comfortable stepping into hands on tasks including:

- Pick/pack and shipment prep (FBA)

- Labeling, inventory handling, and general operational work

- Inventory listing and inventory management

The goal is for you to take ownership of these areas and eventually manage others handling these operational tasks.

* What We Need in This Role

- Significant E-commerce Experience

- Strong problem-solving and follow-through: Someone who sees what’s broken and fixes it

- Ability to operate independently while also following direction when needed

- Comfort switching between strategic thinking and hands-on execution

- High level of ownership and accountability

- Ability to learn new systems and tools quickly (Amazon, inventory systems, etc.)

You do not need to know everything—but you must have relevant experience and be able to figure things out quickly and take action. Be willing to be hands-on when needed

* Growth Opportunity

This role is designed to grow into:

- Full responsibility over operations

- Hiring and managing additional team members

- Building scalable systems across the business

* Compensation

- Competitive pay based on experience

- Significant upside for the right person as responsibility grows

* Location

Stony Point, NY (in-person)
