Job Description

Compensation is commensurate of experience and will be discussed and determined during the interview and hiring process. CNNGA offers State of SC Insurance, Retirement, vacation accrual, and an allotment of paid Holidays.

The Supervisor of Unregulated Services will oversee all unregulated piping and installation activities. This role will oversee day‑to‑day field operations, scheduling, budgeting, product offerings, employee training, and quality assurance for completed work. The position will focus primarily on unregulated services (approximately 90%) with limited involvement in utility‑related tasks (approximately 10%). A professional license in Plumbing, HVAC, or Electrical is required, with a strong preference for plumbing.

Below are details of the job description:

Operational Leadership

  •     Oversee daily operations for CNNGA’s unregulated piping and installation services.
  •     Provide direct supervision to field crews, ensuring safe, efficient, and high‑quality work.
  •     Review completed jobs for accuracy, workmanship, and compliance with applicable codes and internal standards.
  •     Coordinate with customer service, dispatch, and operations teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely service delivery.

Project Oversight

  •     Develop and supervise project schedules, ensuring timely completion of all installation and piping work.
  •     Oversee budgeting for unregulated projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
  •     Track performance metrics, productivity, and job profitability.
  •     Maintain accurate documentation, job records, and reporting.

Product & Service Development

  •     Evaluate and expand product and service offerings for unregulated work.
  •     Recommend new materials, technologies, and installation methods to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  •     Work with leadership to develop pricing structures and service packages.

Employee Training & Development

  •     Provide ongoing training for field staff on installation practices, safety procedures, and customer service.
  •     Mentor technicians and apprentices to support skill development and career progression.
  •     Ensure all employees maintain required certifications and licenses.

Quality Assurance & Safety

  •     Conduct jobsite inspections to verify compliance with safety standards and workmanship expectations.
  •     Implement corrective actions when deficiencies are identified.
  •     Promote a strong safety culture across all operations.

· Develop, Implement, and track marketing initiatives for unregulated offerings.

Secondary Duties:

Utility‑Related Support

  •     Assist with limited utility‑related tasks as needed, including coordination with regulated operations.
  •     Ensure proper separation of regulated and unregulated work in accordance with applicable rules and policies.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

II. JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum qualifications:

Required

  •     Active license in Plumbing, HVAC, or Electrical (Plumbing strongly preferred).
  •     5+ years of experience in installation, piping, or related technical fields.
  •     2+ years of supervisory or project management experience.
  •     Strong understanding of installation practices, safety standards, and applicable codes.
  •     Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and field personnel.
  •     Excellent communication, leadership, and customer‑service skills.

· Must have and maintain a SC Driver’s License and the ability to maintain standards for insurability.

· Accurate completion of required documentation.

· Within 24 months, obtain and maintain pertinent operator qualifications and successfully perform job related skills as required.

Desired qualifications:

Preferred

  •     Experience in both regulated and unregulated utility environments.
  •     Knowledge of natural gas piping, appliance installation, or related systems.
  •     Familiarity with estimating, procurement, and inventory management.
  • Experience managing HVAC, plumbing, or electrical service, installation and repair work.
