This position exists to support facility operations by coordinating and handling Department of Corrections (DOC) commitments, release violators, criminal records, detainers, and releases in accordance with Minnesota Statutes, DOC Policies, and facility procedures. This position will prepare and conduct a complete and careful examination of adult offender releases and detainers for the DOC. This includes the careful review, determination, and final release audit of all aspects of releases and detainers to ensure there are no discrepancies. For each release, this position will audit for active detainers, discipline record, offender identity, and verify appropriate release type and accurate release date of offender.
This position must continuously monitor and manage offender caseload in a timely and accurate manner to ensure caseworkers, security staff, DOC, outside agencies, victims, and the public have current data and to ensure proper incarceration and release of each offender to ensure accurate facility count, accurate public DOC information, victim notification, and overall safety within the facility and community.

The selection process may include screening the top candidate(s) on their criminal history, predatory offender registration, offender associations and/or other applicable background information in accordance with Department of Corrections’ policy. Top candidate(s) must pass a criminal history check which includes successful completion of all sentencing and/or restitution requirements of law enforcement jurisdictions, including probation.
Employment history/reference checks, including incidents of sexual harassment, will also be conducted on the top candidate(s) in accordance with Department of Corrections’ policy. This may include a review of job performance and discipline records.
New employees will be fingerprinted within the first 30 days of employment.
