About the Job Temporary/Casual Research Assistant This role is in Roseau, MN. Must have transportation to and from the Magnusson Research Farm northwest of Roseau.
Duties:
1) General upkeep of grounds and maintaining research plots of the U of MN Magnusson Research Farm in accordance with supervisory instructions
2) Operate small plot tillage, planting and harvesting equipment
3) Assist supervisors in preparing field research plots
4) Perform routine maintenance on project equipment
5) Data/sample collection as needed
6) Other duties as assigned
Starting Date: April 27, 2026
Pay Range: $22.39/hour
Hours: Generally 40 hours per week but more during peak work times.
Qualifications Essential Qualifications- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Reliable
- Attention to Detail
- Ability to work independently
- Valid driver license
- Ability to operate and perform normal maintenance on research equipment
- Able to lift 20 pounds.
- Live in proximity to Roseau, MN and have transportation to and from the Magnusson Research Farm northwest of Roseau.
Desired Qualifications- Farm or agriculture background desirable but not essential.
Pay and Benefits Pay Range: $22.39 per hour, depending on education/qualifications/experience.
