Duties and Responsibilities (** denotes essential functions):
  • **Develop and implement a comprehensive career services strategy aligned with the mission and goals of the business school.
  • **Assess current career services offerings and identify areas for improvement and expansion.
  • Develop and manage the career services budget effectively.
  • **Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of career services and student outcomes.
  • **Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in career services.
  • **Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with employers across diverse industries.
  • **Develop and execute strategies to attract employers to campus for recruitment events, including career fairs, information sessions, and on-campus interviews.
  • **Promote the business school's graduate programs and student talent to potential employers.
  • Develop and maintain a robust online job posting system for students and alumni.
  • Negotiate and manage partnerships with external organizations to provide career-related services and resources to students.
  • **Provide individual and group career counseling to students, including resume and cover letter reviews, interview preparation, salary negotiation, and job search strategies.
  • Develop and deliver workshops and seminars on career-related topics such as career exploration, personal branding, networking, and professional development.
  • Create and maintain online career resources, including career guides, industry overviews, and alumni success stories.
  • Advise student clubs and organizations on career-related activities and initiatives.
  • **Develop and manage curriculum specific internship programs for MBA and specialized master's students.
  • **Identify and secure internship opportunities with employers.
    • Provide guidance and support to students throughout the internship search and application process.
  • Monitor student internship progress and provide feedback and evaluation.
  • Develop and implement internship program policies and procedures.
  • **Engage alumni in career services initiatives, including mentoring, networking, and recruitment activities.
  • Develop and maintain a strong alumni network to support student career development.
  • **Leverage alumni connections to generate internship and job opportunities for students.
  • Collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, and administrators across the business school and university.
  • Communicate regularly with students, employers, and alumni regarding career services activities and opportunities.
  • Represent the business school at professional conferences and events related to career services and higher education.
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Possession of a baccalaureate degree in Business Administration, Higher Education, Arts, Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities, STEM, or related field and three year(s) of progressively responsible professional experience with responsibilities for career services, recruitment, counseling, or any equivalent combination of education and/or professional work experience which provides the required education, knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated.
  • Considerable working knowledge of principles, practices and techniques in the area of career services, internships, and job placement for graduate programs as demonstrated by the broad knowledge of the full range of pertinent standard and evolving concepts, principles and methodologies.
  • Considerable working knowledge and understanding of applicable federal and state laws, rules, regulations and theories and systems associated with career services, higher education, and student employment.
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve wide ranging complex problems through the use of creative reasoning and logic to accurately determine the cause of the problems and the resolution of the problems in an effective, innovative and timely manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and present information and ideas clearly and accurately in writing, verbally and by preparation of reports and other materials.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external organizations, groups, team leaders and members, and individuals.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate a personal computer and apply word processing software.
  • If applicable, for supervisory work, demonstrated ability to lead subordinates, manage work priorities and projects, and manage employee relations.

Desirable Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Higher Education Administration, Counseling, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in using career services technology platforms and databases.
  • Experience working with master's students.
  • Existing relationships with employers in various industries.
