Compensation: Base $150K-$175K + Origination and Settlement fees
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Litigation Attorney to join our plaintiff personal injury firm. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in handling a variety of litigation cases, particularly in motor vehicle and premises liability matters. This role requires strong advocacy skills and the ability to represent clients effectively in court and during negotiations.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in litigation cases, including motor vehicle accidents and premises liability claims.
- Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case arguments.
- Negotiate settlements and favorable outcomes for clients.
- Present cases in court, including jury trials and hearings.
- Maintain client communication and provide updates on case progress.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to develop case strategies.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited university
- Admission to practice in Illinois
- Admission to practice in Federal Courts
- 4+ years of litigation experience, preferably with a focus on motor vehicle and premises liability cases.
- Significant jury trial experience
- Access to a car for travel to suburban courtrooms
- Experience with FileVine or similar case management software is a plus
- Strong understanding of trial processes and courtroom procedures.
- Excellent negotiation and advocacy skills.
- Ability to conduct extensive legal research and analysis.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

- Base Salary: $150K-$175K
- 1/3 of origination
- 1% of gross settlement on non-referred cases
