Job Description
Develops and manages schedules, mandation, and overtime; tracks attendance; supports retention and fairness in staffing.
- Create and maintain weekly/monthly schedules across shifts.
- Track attendance, call-offs, and tardiness; provide monthly reports.
- Maintain mandation list and redesign practices for fairness.
- Prepare weekly overtime reports for HR.
- Audit time records against schedules.
- Coordinate interviews and route hiring paperwork to HR.
- Track staff attendance, specifically those in their orientation period.
- Maintain staffing database (training, restrictions, certifications).
- Coordinate flex/backup pool of officers for coverage.
- Lead retention initiatives (recognition, birthdays, morale events).
Collect staff feedback on scheduling and report to DSYS.

- Other duties as assigned.
- Must be able to work any shift as needed.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred; experience may substitute.
- Minimum 2 years in corrections, workforce management, or scheduling.
- Knowledge of overtime/mandation practices in secure facilities.
- Strong organizational, communication, and data management skills.
- Proficiency with scheduling and reporting software.
- Excellent communication skills are required- both written and verbal.
Salary enhancement for bi-lingual skills are eligible.
