Maintenance Technician I

• Perform and maintain equipment by following the Preventive Maintenance program as defined by the CMMS system
• Perform scheduled maintenance by working closely with management and operators to support operational needs as defined by the CMMS system
• Perform equipment maintenance on all unscheduled work in a safe and timely manner to reduce operational downtime as defined by the CMMS system
• Perform ground maintenance and other facility repairs
• Snow Removal
• Building repairs (i.e. plant utilities, water, steam vacuum lines, etc)

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent- Required
• Industrial maintenance trade school program - Must have completed an industrial maintenance trade school program, or a minimum of 3 years of equivalent experience - Required
• Associates Degree - Mechanical or Electrical Technology - Preferred

• Industrial Maintenance Trade School Program Preferred
• Electrical Certification (Journeyman/Master) Preferred
• Plumbing License Preferred
• HVAC License Preferred

• Minimum 3 years experience - Must have completed an industrial maintenance trade school program, or a minimum of 3 years of equivalent experience- Required

• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and engineering prints Required
• Safety Experience with LOTO, Working at Heights, Confined Spaces Required
• Hydraulic Experience Required
• Plumbing Experience Required
• Ability to work alone and unsupervised Required
• Effective verbal and written communication skills to communicate with others throughout the plant Required
• Knowledge of 5S Principles Preferred
