Duties

  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute masonry projects.
  • Construct and install concrete forms and structures, including foundations, walls, facades, and decorative features.
  • Install rebar reinforcement to ensure structural integrity of concrete elements.
  • Lay tiles and stucco finishes with meticulous attention to detail for both interior and exterior applications.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and scaffolding safely and efficiently on construction sites.
  • Perform concrete finishing tasks such as smoothing, sealing, and curing to achieve high-quality surfaces.
  • Execute restoration and renovation work by matching existing masonry styles and techniques.
  • Read construction plans accurately to coordinate with other trades like carpentry, roofing, plastering, and metal framing.
  • Apply caulking, trim carpentry, and metal stud framing skills as needed for comprehensive project completion.
  • Maintain safety standards by adhering to OSHA regulations and site protocols throughout all phases of work.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in masonry construction with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
  • Proficiency in concrete forming, finishing, rebar installation, tile laying, stucco application, and heavy equipment operation.
  • Skilled in blueprint reading and interpreting schematics for precise execution of project specifications.
  • Knowledge of construction estimating processes to assist in project planning and material procurement.
  • Ability to work effectively with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and other construction equipment.
  • Experience in renovation or restoration projects is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures related to construction sites and masonry work.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail; able to adapt quickly on-site.
  • Valid certifications or licenses related to heavy equipment operation or specialized masonry skills are a plus but not mandatory.

Preferred Licensing

  • DOT Card and Hoisting License (training and certification available)
