Watermark Bar on Pier 15 – Hiring Barbacks

Watermark Bar isn’t your average restaurant — it’s a 10,000 sq ft waterfront pier on Pier 15 that completely reinvents itself four times a year. We’re gearing up for Watermark Beach and looking for exceptional talent to match our energy.

Our Four Seasons

• Jan – Apr: Pink Pier – rosé vibes, retro glam, pastel elegance

• May – Aug: Watermark Beach – tropical energy, island cocktails, pier party

• Sep – Oct: Oktoberfest – steins, Bavarian spirit, festive cheer

• Nov – Dec: Santa’s Winter Wonderland – magical, cozy, holiday charm

Compensation

• Base: $11.35/hr + tips

• Tips: $30–$75/hr (estimated tip share, high-volume seasonal performance)

• Training hours: $17/hr

Tip credit applies — total compensation including tips meets or exceeds NYC minimum wage. Training hours are compensated at $17/hr. Tip ranges reflect high-volume seasonal performance and are good-faith estimates.

What We Need

• Minimum 3 years of high-volume hospitality experience

• Strong English communication skills

• Emotional intelligence — you read rooms, you de-escalate, you uplift

• A team-first mentality — egos don’t survive here, but careers do

• Passion for hospitality, not just service — there’s a difference, and we need people who know it

• Speed, efficiency, and anticipation — you stay three steps ahead of the bar

• Strong product knowledge and restocking systems

Availability

• Required: Saturday through Wednesday

• Preferred: Weekends (not guaranteed but strongly valued)

• Must be comfortable working late-night events on Fridays and Saturdays — parties go until 4am
