Middle School Reading Specialist

The Conestoga Valley School District is seeking candidates for a middle school Reading Specialist at Gerald Huesken Middle School for the 2026-2027 school year. This dynamic and engaging position will support our learning community’s emphasis on the intentional integration of the Profile of a CV Learner into literacy teaching and learning. The middle school Reading Specialist’s primary functions are to suggest, provide, and share strategies to enhance the middle school’s literacy instructional program; to assist GHMS administrators with 6th-8th grade curriculum coordination and implementation; and to provide direct instruction to identified students through the school’s Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) process. Experience related to the Structured Literacy program is desirable for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Literacy Education or related field
• Minimum of 5 years teaching experience in middle school, literacy, or related field
• Classroom Coaching experience

• Grades 4-8 (ELA)
• Grades 7-12 (ELA)
• Grades K-12 Reading Specialist Certification
