Job Summary
We are a small Insurance Defense Law Firm seeking a full-time, highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our team. As a Legal Assistant, you will provide essential administrative support to our legal team, ensuring the smooth operation of our legal processes and procedures. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in the legal field to gain valuable experience and contribute to a dynamic legal team.

Duties

  • Assist with drafting civil litigation pleadings and proofreading documents;
  • Transcribe dictation, create and modify letters, pleadings, releases, reports, etc. in Microsoft Word;
  • Perform general clerical duties including photocopying, scanning, faxing and filing;
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, hearings, depositions, and other settings;
  • Provide administrative support such as answer phone calls, respond to emails, and maintain faxes;
  • Must be able to use Outlook email, electronic calendars, Microsoft Word and other basic office support software;
  • Clio experience preferred.

Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred);
  • Legal experience preferably in litigation;
