Assistant Operations Manager (Direct Hire)

Schedule: Typically Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (flexibility required)

About the Role:
We are a small, family-owned extrusion manufacturer seeking an Assistant Operations Manager to join our leadership team. This role is hands-on and dynamic, supporting daily production, scheduling, and team coordination. You’ll work closely with another Assistant Operations Manager and play a key role in keeping operations running smoothly.

This position is ideal for someone who is adaptable, mechanically inclined, and eager to learn all aspects of manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing daily production operations and workforce
• Work hands-on with MRP and production scheduling systems
• Coordinate materials and workflow to meet changing production needs
• Learn and understand extrusion equipment and processes
• Support team members on the production floor as needed
• Help maintain a positive team-oriented work environment
• Communicate effectively across departments to ensure efficiency
• Adapt to shifting priorities and production demands

What We’re Looking For:

• Mechanically inclined with an interest in manufacturing processes
• Experience with MRP systems and/or production scheduling preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Flexible and dependable with scheduling
• Willingness to learn and grow into the role
• Leadership potential with a hands-on mindset
