Co-Response Clinician

Job Description

The Town of Franklin is seeking a licensed or license-eligible mental health professional to join our innovative Co-Response Team. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside law enforcement, providing real-time mental health support in the field and helping individuals and families when they need it most.

What You'll Do:

As a Co-Response Clinician, you will respond to calls for service with Franklin Police Officers to provide:

  • On-site clinical assessment
  • Crisis intervention and de-escalation
  • Immediate referrals and resource coordination

You’ll be an essential part of our efforts to reduce arrests, avoid unnecessary ER visits, and connect individuals to community-based care that meets their needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ride along with officers during patrol shifts to respond to mental health-related calls
  • Collaborate with all police units, including participation in the overdose follow-up program
  • Offer case consultation, assist in program development, and help facilitate cross-agency training
  • Build strong partnerships with local service providers and community agencies
  • Provide support and resources to individuals and families in crisis

Requirements:

  • Licensed or license-eligible in Massachusetts (LICSW, LMHC, LCSW, etc.)
  • Strong clinical assessment and crisis intervention skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with law enforcement and community providers
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic field setting

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $71,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
