RN Resident Care Director – Assisted Living & Memory Care

MedBest is seeking a Resident Care Director (RN) for a high-performing assisted living community near Brooklyn, NY.

This is a high-impact leadership role within a well-established community known for delivering a refined, resident-centered experience. The environment is collaborative, hands-on, and built around strong leadership visibility and team connection.

The Opportunity

This role is ideal for an experienced RN leader coming from a DON, Wellness Director, or Director of Resident Care background in assisted living who is looking for a well-supported environment where they can lead effectively without carrying the full administrative burden alone.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all clinical operations within the community
• Lead, mentor, and support nursing and caregiving teams
• Ensure compliance with all state regulations and standards of care
• Partner with leadership on staffing, quality outcomes, and resident experience
• Support move-ins, care planning, and overall wellness programming

Qualifications

• Active RN license (required)
• Prior experience as a Nurse Manager in Assisted Living (Director of Nursing, Wellness Director, Director of Resident Care, or similar capacity)
• Strong leadership presence with the ability to build and develop teams
• Experience in memory care strongly preferred
• Knowledge of state regulations and survey processes
