Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – PCU / Stepdown (MSDU)

Location: Rochester, NY

Assignment Details

• Unit: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Medical Step-Down (MSDU)
• Shift: Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Schedule: 3x12 Hours
• Weekly Hours: 36
• Duration: 13 Weeks
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Float Requirement: ICU / Med-Surg as needed

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Progressive Care / Stepdown unit in a tertiary care hospital. The RN will manage intermediate-acuity patients transitioning from ICU, requiring close cardiac monitoring, complex medication administration, and coordinated interdisciplinary care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to PCU/stepdown patients
• Monitor telemetry and interpret cardiac rhythms
• Administer medications, including cardiac and vasoactive drips (non-titrated)
• Manage IV therapy and central/peripheral lines
• Respond to rapid response and code situations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams
• Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR
• Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols

Required Qualifications

• Active New York RN License (in hand at submission)
• Minimum 1 year PCU / Stepdown / Telemetry or equivalent acute care experience
• Epic EMR experience (required)
• Strong cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation skills
• Ability to float to ICU or Med-Surg units

Required Certifications

• BLS (Required)
• ACLS (Required)
• NIHSS (Required)

• Ratios: Days 1:3 | Nights 1:4
• Facility Type: 528-bed Tertiary Care Hospital
• Patient Population: Adult & Geriatric
• RTO Limit: Max 10 days
