Job Title: Phlebotomist (000549)

Location: New York, NY
Duration: 14 Weeks
Shift & Schedule

• 5x7.5-hour shifts (37.5 hrs/week)
• Monday–Friday + rotating weekends (every other weekend)
• Holidays may be required

Available Shifts:

• 5:00 AM – 1:00 PM (2 openings)
• 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (1 opening)
• 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM (1 opening)

Job SummarySeeking an experienced Phlebotomist for a fast-paced acute care hospital. The role focuses on blood specimen collection, patient safety, and accurate documentation while following clinical protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection
• Label and process specimens accurately
• Ensure patient comfort and safety
• Follow infection control guidelines
• Maintain proper documentation
• Coordinate with healthcare staff
• Handle and transport specimens properly

Requirements (Must Have)

• 2+ years of phlebotomy experience (hospital/lab/blood bank)
• CPT Certification
• AHA BLS Certification
• High School Diploma/GED + Phlebotomy training
• Strong communication and patient care skills

Preferred

• Experience in high-volume hospital settings
• Knowledge of lab systems and specimen handling
• Flexibility with shifts and weekends
