Compensation: $85,000 - $100,000 per year

We are seeking to add a key member to our team. This is a dynamic full-time position that requires a high energy, detail-oriented self-starter who works well independently as well as being a crucial component to the success of the team.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Draftsperson will work directly with pre-construction PMs to produce 2d and 3d shop drawings for approval, fabrication, and installation on projects ranging from $300k to $5M. Understanding of the built world and the ability to work fast a must. Proficiency with AutoCAD is required. Proficiency with Revit and 3d modeling is preferred, as is a working understanding of technical detailing.

This is a fast-paced, dynamic role, requiring autonomous problem solving and disciplined time management.Successful candidates with be self-motivated and comfortable with taking the lead on solving problems independently.

The Draftsperson will work alone or in collaboration with a fellow Draftsperson on larger jobs and will meet regularly and ad-hoc with pre-construction PMs, Field PMs, and the Fabrication Director to develop drawings.

The Draftsperson must work from our West 30th St office Monday-Thursday, 9am-5pm, with the option to work from home on Fridays provided they have their own suitable computer to work from.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

• 2+ years professional experience producing shop drawings for commercial or high-end residential

construction/fabrication

• Strong proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Revit

• Strong understanding of technical detailing standards

• Ability to handle multiple complex drafting jobs in a quick, efficient, and organized manner

• Fluent in spoken and written English

• Detail-oriented

• Experience in developing construction and fabrication details

• Proficient in 3d modeling

• Hands-on fabrication or construction experience
