About the Role

Reporting directly to the owner, the Designer will be responsible for providing a 5-star client experience for cabinet and countertop design and sales through client consultation, accurate measurement and design, and consistent follow-through. In this role, you will collaborate closely with clients in both our showroom and at their homes to understand their design preferences and functional needs, creating exceptional designs that align with their vision. Your creativity, attention to detail, and focus on exceptional customer service will be essential in producing innovative solutions that consistently exceed client expectations.

Responsibilities

· Actively pursue new business opportunities and qualify inbound leads.

· Manage and update CRM with contact details and notes.

· Maintain and nurture relationships with existing customers.

· Interpret client design requests and work with them to establish an initial budget.

· Conduct in-home consultations to measure, discuss preferences, and provide expert opinions.

· Staff the showroom daily (when not at appointments)

· Design extraordinary solutions that champion Cabinet IQ products and services.

· Deliver 100% accurate designs and proposals, promptly addressing purchasing concerns.

· Initiate cabinet and countertop orders, providing documentation to operations.

· Participate in company training and development programs.

· Build relationships with remodelers, builders, and design professionals through local networking.

· Provide exceptional 5-star customer service through prompt responsiveness, clear communication, and a client-centric approach.

Skills and Abilities

· Demonstrated creative and organizational skills that require multi-tasking across several simultaneous projects.

· Strong communication skills to convey design concepts, educate clients, and collaborate effectively.

· Hyper focus on maintaining a high degree of great customer experience.

· Strong computer skills and experience with Design Live (2020) software.

· CRM experience a plus, but not required.

Education and Experience

· Qualified candidates will possess a minimum of three to five years of previous kitchen design and sales experience.

· High school diploma or equivalent.
